Sage is derived from the latin ‘salvare’ which means ‘heal’ or ‘save’. It has been used for many years in small amounts due to its high strength and care should always be taken when using in its purest forms.
The therapeutic effects of sage are antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory to name a few.
It is also said to quicken the senses and is good for combating depression. As an oil on the skin, sage is not only used to aid healing but it can reduce the pore size. ANY PRODUCT CONTAINING SAGE SHOULD BE AVOIDED DURING PREGNANCY
